One of the most attractive features of the Tyler area is the climate. Because of the consistently mild weather, Tyler is a gardner's paradise. Perennials, bulbs, fruits and vegetables all grow as abundantly as our pine trees. Spring flowers begin blooming in early March and continue throughout the Summer.
Tyler's annual average rainfall is 43.1 inches with 245 days of sunny weather each year.

The Blackstone Building was built in 1938 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In 1999, the Blackstone was remodeled and is now home to the Chamber, TEDC, CVB, and many other Tyler businesses.
